The “M” in the name simply stands for Mini and is basically a smaller version of your typical 1/10-scale touring car.
Tamiya created the M-chassis so that they would have a platform that would be the proper scale representation for when they model a smaller sized full-scale car like a Volkswagen Beetle.

Body is well finished and made of 0.75mm Lexan.
Remark : Sometimes shells are trimmed for freight purposes so excess plastic may be less than shown above.
